Zaleski, Alice (nee Kalman)
Alice was called home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family singing and praying on Wednesday February 15, 2017, at the age of 85. Of Ridgetown, and formerly of Chatham, Alice was born in Wallaceburg to parents the late Laurence and Theresa (nee Fiedler) on May 29, 1931.
Alice was the beloved wife of Edward Zaleski.
Cherished mother of Larry (Liz) of Bayfield, Theresa (Norm) Matheson of Sudbury, Mary Catherine (Brian) McNeil of London, Joan (Herb) McCauley of Chatham and Anne Zaleski of Toronto.
Adored grandmother of Melissa (Chad), Shannon (Phil), Chris (Sarah), Paige, Tyler (Terri), Molly, Emma, Alisana, Megan, John, Caitlin, Lara, Amanda and Julia. Great-grandmother of Olivia, Layla, Sophia, Nash, Miles and Hexton.
Beloved sister of Steve (Helen) Kalman and Joe (late Margaret) Kalman, both of Aylmer. Predeceased also by her sister Helen Kalman. Alice is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Alice was a longtime member of St. Michael's Catholic Church in Ridgetown and the Ridgetown Legion Ladies Auxillary. She made her Cursillos in the early 1990's in Windsor.
Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main St. E., Ridgetown on Sunday February 19, 2017 from 1-4pm and 6-9pm. A Legion Service will be held at 3:45pm and Parish Prayers will be shared at 6pm. The Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church on Monday February 20th, 2017 at 11am. Burial to follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Ridgetown.
