I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to Eddie's family. For right now, there's no detour around grief, no shortcut through mourning. However, 2 Cor.4:7 says that God can give us, "... power beyond what is normal ", to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry, or that we forget. It means we recover. We recover because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28 which says, "... all those in the memorial tomb will hear his voice and come out ". Jesus was referring to the resurrection. That is our amazing hope! The Bible likens our hope to an anchor. Just like an anchor stabilizes a ship, our hope stabilizes us and keeps us from drowning in overwhelming sadness. 2 Cor.1:3 describes our Creator as, "... the God of all comfort ". One way that God comforts us is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May the God of comfort be your comfort now, at this time of sorrow. Even though we went through rough days with our loved ones at the same time I wish to express my sincere condolences to all the family , because we are dealing with Mom's belongings on Saturday I will be unable to attend Eddy's service, sorry I could not support you all better. May God bless and help to make your family strong and help you all deal with your grief. Hugs for all, and prayers for strength. Eddy will always be remembered for his go to attitude and his do it right work ethics, and the humor he was so easily able to share with others.

Wendy and Family,
Its hard to put into words what an impact Ed had on my life. I knew him from a small girl that he was someone that ran a backhoe for my dad, then in my teenage years I knew Ed as "Steady Eddie" I worked with him in the trenches and he ran the machine, he taught me a lot during those times. Then as an adult I came back to work for my dad and slowly started taking over Operations, I then was Ed's boss. It was a hard transition at points for both of us but Ed respected me and I respected him. Every day Ed came to work, Ed never missed a day, I know how much he loved this company and running a backhoe. Its hard to think that Ed is gone, he will be greatly missed at Henry Heyink Construction and I will miss him.
Keeping you all close in my heart, thoughts and prayers. Much Love and Strength.
