Obituary of Donna Jean Provost

Provost: Donna Jean (Griffith) -

A resident of Chatham, Donna Provost passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with family by her side on May 16, 2019 at the age of 83. 

Born in Chatham, Donna was the daughter of Garnett and Gladys (Bellamy) Griffith. 

Beloved wife of 52 years to the late Donald Provost (2006).

Survived by her loving children, Paul Provost & Cheryl Haddock of Chatham, Valerie & Peter Dickau of Edmonton, AB, and Patrick Provost of Chatham. 

Loving grandmother to 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Survived by her brother Rae Griffith, and predeceased by sisters, Dorothy (Morley), Betty (Al), Verlyn, Ruth (Frank), and Shirley (Don).

Also survived by her brother in laws Lennard Provost (the late Joyce) and Hector Provost (Mary Louise), and predeceased by brother in laws Arthur Provost (Delores), Bob Provost (Carol), and Larry Provost (Pat).

Greatly missed by many nieces and nephews and friends.

Donna was a chartered member of Sweet Adeline's (Barbershop Chorus) for 35 years.  She enjoyed her lively card games including bridge, cribbage, crosswords, word scrambles, and scratch tickets.  She was also an I.O.D.E. member in her younger years. Donna always ended her day with Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. 

Funeral Visitation will be held on Sunday May 26, 2019 from 2:00pm - 5:00pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St. Chatham, ON with a Funeral Service held on May 27 at 11:00am.

Cremation to take place following the service.

Donations made in memory of Donna can be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation and Central Baptist Church Edmonton Alberta c/o Love Kitchen would be appreciated.
