Gladys Marjorie Somerville

 

A recent resident of Park Street Place Retirement Home in Dresden, Gladys passed away suddenly but peacefully on Wednesday, November 13, 2019 at the age of 77. She lived most of her life in Toronto, having been born to the late Clarence and Marjorie (Clayton) Somerville in the former Orford Township on March 5th, 1942.

Mother to son Robert Vogler (Terra) of Windsor and daughters Mary-Ann Vogler Perry of Kingwood, Texas and Gean Keating (Greg) of West Lorne.

Proud “Grandma on the bus/train” to Crystal, Jonathan, Jessica, Christopher, Christina, Grant and Lee.

Especially proud great Grandma to 13 great grandchildren.

Dear sister to Glenn Somerville (Shirley) of London, Gord Somerville (Marilynn) of Chatham and Joyce Smith of Ridgetown.

Predeceased by brother Morrison Somerville and brother-in-law Garry Smith. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friend Ron Ashby.

Special thanks and gratitude to Dr. Jones and staff, all nurses and staff at Park Street Place in Dresden for their incredible care, unwavering attention and support over the past five months in making Park Street feel like home for her.

Cremation has taken place with a private interment at Gosnell Cemetery at a later date.
