Obituary of Romeo Joseph Lozon

On February 22nd 2020, our loss became a Heavenly reunion. In much the same way he entered and lived in this world, Romeo Joseph Lozon, humbly and peacefully passed away at the age of 72, with family by his side... surrounded by much love. Loving husband and forever soulmate of Dorothy (Myers) Lozon for over 54 years. Loving Dad of Giselle M. Lozon, Jaqueline Hoorelbeck and Jeanne Boersma (Dave). Former father-in-law to Mark though considered a son. Dear Pèpè and mentor to Joshua, Colin, Tanner, Justin and Brandon. Son of the late Eddie and Florida (Emery) Lozon. Brother to Sylvio (Ruth Ann), Sylvia Poole, Raymond (Annette). A hard worker his entire life, he always enjoyed the challenge of working with his hands, doing home improvements and there was nothing that he could not fix. He retired from Siemens after 37 years of service and volunteered as a Fireman for many years at Dover Fire Department. In his younger years he enjoyed playing baseball and coaching his daughters’ teams. Romi spent his free time fishing with his grandsons and cheering them on at football, hockey and soccer games. He loved cooking, gardening and dancing at jamborees with Dort. Treat giver to Bailey, Candy, Coco, Bud and Jonas. A man that never knew his true worth or the impact he had and will continue to have, on many another's life. He was always willing and able to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He taught each and every one of us many a thing in life and we will always be grateful to him. He will be missed beyond words and there will forever be a void... our loss and sorrow are profound... may God continue to guide us. You will continue to flood our thoughts and hearts however, with the memories we have shared over the years we were truly blessed to have with you. Freed from the chains of pain that bound you... we will find solace in that thought, by the grace of God. Heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Tran, Dr. Ricketts and their exceptional office staff as well as Dr. Watterud. You went beyond the call of duty and your care and compassion will never be forgotten. To all of the compassionate nurses who cared for him over the years, we give thanks as well. This journey has come to an end... a new one begins and soon we will all meet again. Our love for you will forever be. Charitable donations in memory of Romeo may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date. McKinlay Funeral Home 141 Park Street, Blenheim 519-676-3451
