WILSON, Margaret Jean, of Chatham, age 83, died Sunday, August 27, 2006. She was predeceased by her husband David, her parents Stanley and Maggie (Merritt) Field, her sister Flora Richards, and brother Merritt. She is survived by her son Murray (Ann) of Harrow, her grandchildren Margret (Alan) Van Oirschot, Steven (Karolynn) Wilson, and Heather (Daniel) Rand, by 9 great-grandchildren, and many friends of all ages. Margaret taught for more than 30 years, at SS No.1 Harwich, later called the Wilson School, where she was the principal and taught grades 6, 7, and 8. She finished her career as the librarian at Indian Creek Public School. Margaret was a vibrant, fun-loving person and treasured her friends and family, including The Red Hat Society, the Retired Teachers of Ontario, St. Pauls Church, and her card group. She was also dedicated to her art and china painting. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair, Chatham, on Tuesday, August 29 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, August 30 from 2:00-4:30 p.m. & 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, at the Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Margaret Moriyama officiating. Interment in Bethel Cemetery. Memorial donations made by cheque to St. Andrews Residence or Indian Creek Rd. Public School Library Fund are welcomed.
