John William (Bill) Holling
Bill Holling passed away February 12, 2025 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 77.
He was the son of the late Catherine and James Holling.
Bill is predeceased by his brother Robert (Bob) Holling.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dona Holling.
Bill will be missed by his son Jim Holling and daughter Karen (Scott) Walker, and his grandchildren, Mitchell and Derek Walker.
Remembered by in laws - Joyce and John Clark, Danny Apthorp, Mary Lou Tye and Donna Holling. Predeceased by Nettie Louise Apthorp and Jim Tye. Bill will be missed by several nieces and nephews.
Bill was passionate about hospital care, volunteering as a patient advocate for many years. He also volunteered with Victim Services. He enjoyed camping, nature, and horse racing.
In keeping with Bill’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family grave side service will be held at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Bill to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
