Stoffyn: Ida Jeanne (née Demars ) -
A resident of Chatham, Jean Stoffyn passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on February 13, 2025 at the age of 83.
Born in Ruscomb, ON Jean was the Daughter of the late Fred and Marie Demars (née Caza ) .
Loving mother to Linda Stocking, Kim Crawford (Perry) and Wayne Wright (Deb).
Adored grandmother to Tina (Tony), Sha, Melissa, Dylan (Lindsey), Kyle (Brooke), Bridgette (Chris) and predeceased by Allen and Tonya.
Great grandmother to McKenzie (Maxx), Kaleb, Charles, Kolby, Al, Ashton, Aneela (Hailey), Darrian, Abrielle, Bryson, Lynkinn, BreeLynn, Mason, Rowan, and Kali.
Predeceased by four siblings.
She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Jean was a one of a kind baker, known for her pies, cheesecake and her mouth watering banana bread. Jean took great joy in watching the classic TV shows Little House on the Prairie, Petticoat Junction, and Family Feud. Jean recently learned the world of Youtube and would enjoy watching the Grand Ole Opry. She had a sense of humor and knew how to put a smile on anyone's face. Jean was the queen of karaoke, she was a fashionista and could shop till you drop, especially when it came to shoes. Jean held a special place in her heart for her dog Ruby.
Friends to be received on Wednesday February 19, 2025, at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 2:00pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00pm - 8:00pm A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Thursday February 20, 2025 at 11:00am.
Donations made in memory of Jean to the Canadian Diabetes Association or Breast Cancer Canada would be appreciated by the family.
