Obituary of Ted Williams

Williams: Gerald Edward Merritt "Ted" -

A resident of Raleigh Township, Ted Williams passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus with family at his side after fighting a private battle with cancer on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the age of 53.

Born in Chatham, Ted was the son of the late Gerald "Jerry" and Sarah "Sally" (née Lougheed) Williams.

Forever cherished by the love of his life, Rachel Christensen, and his greatest pride and joy, his daughter Eva Lynn Williams.

Dearly missed by his siblings, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Ted was a devoted farmer in Raleigh Township, who took pride in everything he did. He was a true gentleman, the life of the party and was always there to lend a helping hand.

Ted enjoyed playing hockey, ice skating with Eva and bringing coffees to his many friends. You could always count on seeing Ted driving the back roads on his crop tours.

Ted is reunited with his Mom and his Dad in heaven and will be deeply missed by everyone left behind. He will live on forever in the hearts of his family members and many friends.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 7:00 - 9:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Thomas Anglican Church, 7077 Grande River Line, Pain Court at11:00am on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.

Donations made in memory of Ted to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation - Oncology Unit would be appreciated by the family.
