Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph's Hospital, Hamilton on March 10,2025 in her 88th year. She was predeceased by parents Ralph and Beatrice Paling and brother Robert (Bob). Barbara is survived by brother Beverley of Whitby, sister Betty of Ingersoll, sister-in-law Diane Paling of Burlington and several nieces and nephews.
Many thanks to a very special nephew, Robert Kent Paling, wife Claudia and daughters Beatrice and Ruth, who gave loving care to Barbara in their home after she moved to Hamilton.
Barbara graduated from Chatham General Hospital, School of Nursing 1957, worked briefly in NS, California, Montreal Children's Hospital, then over 25 years at Ste. Anne de Bellevue Veterans Hospital. Donations in Barbara's memory can be made to the St. Joseph's Villa Foundation (www.sjvfoundation.com).
A Memorial Service will be held for Barbara at McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim at 12:00pm on Friday, March 21, 2025. Interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Blenheim.
