Obituary of Chuck Sokoll
A resident of Ridgetown, Chuck Sokoll passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus on March 18, 2025 at the age of 85.
Born in Toronto, he was the son of the late Joseph and Anna (nee Huber) Sokoll.
Beloved husband of 11 years to Sharon (nee Buckler).
Loving father of Kenneth (Kathy) Sokoll, Ron (Marie) Sokoll, Jerry (Jessica) Oakes, and Stephanie (Duane) Steckley.
Grandfather of Jacqueline Sokoll, Chantelle Sokoll, Teri-Lynn Troy, Shelby Troy (David), Trenton Dudley, Bentley Dudley, Taylor Steckley (Taylor), Alex Steckley (Luke), & Cole Steckley (Katie).
Great-grandfather of 2.
Brother-in-law of Pam Carter (Ken), Eric Buckler (Melinda), & Donna White (Randy).
Predeceased by his mother-in-law, Betty Shannon.
Missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Dearly missed by his furry friends, Lucy, Cash, Jack and Dexter.
Chuck retired after 39 years as a Letter Carrier for the Toronto Postal Service, traveling the streets of Toronto. He was an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays, through and through. Chuck and Sharon enjoyed their time traveling to Caesars Windsor, playing poker, slots and enjoying a nice meal at Neros & Spagos. He will be dearly missed by his family and his friends.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Haddad, Emergency and 2nd Floor Staff of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for their diligent efforts, care and compassion.
Family to receive friends on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. A Celebration of Chuck's Life will follow at 3:00 pm. Cremation has taken place with a Private Family Burial at a later date in Duart Cemetery.
