Crawford: Murray Wayne -

A lifelong resident of Cedar Springs, Murray Crawford passed away peacefully with family at his side on Friday, March 28, 2025 at the age of 72. For the past several years, Murray battled with a rare neurological condition known as PSP (Progressive Supranuclear Palsy).

Born in Chatham, Murray was the son of the late Milton and Phyllis (née Rideout) Crawford.

Beloved husband of 52 years to Darlene Crawford (née Munn).

Loving father of Patty Crawford and Pam Blackburn (Tom).

Proud Grandpa to Avery, Camden, Kenzie and Cassie.

Dear brother to Peggy Snobelen (late Laird), Gloria Parker (late Larry), Steven Crawford (Leanne). Predeceased by his siblings Sam Crawford (late Lana) and Shirley Wilkinson (late John).

Brother-in-law to Dennis Munn (Carol).

Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

Murray was the owner operator of Murray Crawford Construction for 36 years. Murray was proud of his time building homes and barns in the community, including his own family home.

Murray coached baseball for the community of Cedar Springs for many years. He was an avid golfer and outdoorsman, enjoying his time on the water and in the woods.

In his later years, Murray enjoyed spending time with his family, especially watching his grandchildren participate in their many passions and activities.

As per Murray's wishes, cremation has taken place with a private family interment to be held at Craford Cemetery at a later date.
