Allman Fowler

Obituary of Allman Fowler

Allman Lodge Fowler of Chatham-Kent passed away peacefully at home on March 29, 2025 at the age of 89, with his children by his side.

Born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, he farmed on the slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania before bringing his family to Canada in 1971. Son of the late Noble and Barbara Fowler, Allman is predeceased by his beloved wife of over 40 years, Carol-Ann Jackson. He will be dearly missed by all his friends and family, including his children Shaun and Nicola, stepdaughter Petrina, granddaughters Kira, Kendra, and Sonya, honorary grandson Josh, his beloved sister Fiona Blackie of England, numerous nieces and nephews, and his first wife, Annabel.

Allman was a man who was true to himself and walked to his own beat, living life on his own terms. He was a man of integrity, had a fantastic sense of humor, loved to laugh, was very curious, knowledgeable, and valued great conversations. He loved bare feet in the grass, hands in the soil, and growing beautiful vegetables that he generously shared. He loved life, family, and good friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Chatham Outreach for Hunger in memory of Allman.
