Obituary of Evelyn Lorraine Goodal

Goodal: Evelyn Lorraine (née Midkiff) -

A resident of Ridgetown, Evelyn Goodal passed away peacefully at the Village on the Ridge on April 14, 2025, at the age of 93.

Born in Pinkham, Saskatchewan, Evelyn was the daughter of George and Genevieve (née Andruss) Midkiff.

Beloved wife of 55 years to Louis Goodal, with whom she shared a life full of love, laughter, and many moves across towns and cities throughout Ontario.

Loving mother to Mike (Ann-Marie) and Patricia Anne. Evelyn was also a devoted and cherished grandmother to Eric Goodal and Matthew Goodal, who brought immense joy to her life.

She will be dearly missed by her many nieces and nephews, and fondly remembered by all who knew her. She is predeceased by her siblings Dorothy, Earl, Grace, and Lloyd.

Evelyn was a woman ahead of her time - quiet but never shy, thoughtful, and steadfast. Her wit and gentle sense of humor left a lasting impression. A lifelong advocate for healthy living, she was eating kale and caring for her wellness long before it became fashionable. She believed in taking care of both body and mind, and lived that belief daily.

Evelyn’s legacy is one of quiet strength, enduring love, and the deep bonds of family. She leaves behind a tapestry of memories woven from small kindnesses, hearty laughter, and conversations that made you feel truly seen.

She will be remembered with love.

Friends and family are invited for a time of visitation on Wednesday, April 23rd, 2025, from 1pm to 2 pm with a funeral liturgy to follow at 2pm at McKinlay Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown.
