Obituary of Francis Montminy

Francis Montminy, a resident of Tilbury, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus on May 11, 2025 at the age of 91.

Born in Tilbury, Francis was the son of the late Frank and Rita (née Dozois) Montminy.

Beloved husband of 60 years to Lynda (née Taggart).

Loving father to John (Liana) Montminy and David (Jenny) Montminy.

Caring pépé to Andrew Francis Montminy.

Brother to the late Paul (the late Beatrice), the late Corrine (the late George), the late Theresa (Don), and the late Mary (the late Bill). 

Brother-in-law of Ruth (the late Valere), and the late Carol (the late Tom).

He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Francis was a lifelong farmer and avid card player. He was also proud to be a 3rd Degree member of the Knights of
Columbus.

Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Monday May 19, 2025 from 11:00 am until the Memorial Liturgy at 1:00pm. Cremation has taken place with burial at a later date.

Donations made in memory of Francis to Arthritis Research Canada or St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church would be appreciated by the family.
