Roberts: Lorna Doreen (née Box) -
A resident of Ridgetown, Lorna Roberts passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on June 11, 2025 at the age of 97.
Born in Parkhill,Ontario, Lorna was the daughter of Cecil & Lena Stoner.
Beloved wife of 24 years to Thomas Roberts & 27 years to Clayton Reid.
Survived by William & Elizabeth Reid of Ridgetown, Ontario, Mary Dadd of Ridgetown, Ontario and Bob & Dorothy (2022) Spears.
Gramma to Tammy, Chantelle & Vicki, Daniel, Matthew and Clayton.
Lorna was blessed with 12 Great-Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
She had a lifelong talent for knitting and could sew just about anything with skill and care. She enjoyed quiet moments watching television or reading a good book. Well into her 70s, she loved to travel-visiting places like Texas, Florida, and Calgary. Her dream destination was Hawaii, but any journey was special as long as it was shared with her family.
A Funeral Visitation for Lorna will take place at 2 pm on Tuesday June 17, 2025 at McKinlay Funeral Home in Ridgetown at 76 Main Street East, with a Funeral Service to commence at 3 pm. All are welcome.
In lieu of flowers-Donations made in memory of Lorna to the Chatham-Kent Hospice or the Charity of your Choice would be appreciated by the family.
