Obituary of Bob McBride
McBride: Robert "Bob" Verne -
A resident of Chatham, and previously of Blenheim, Bob McBride passed away at home on August 2, 2025 at the age of 76.
Born in London, Bob was the son of the late Verne and Marion (née Vosburg) McBride.
Loving companion and best friend 24 years to Bonnie Pinsonneault (née Pask).
Cherished father to Stacey McBride, Amy McBride, Todd McBride, Melissa (Jeremy) Pask, and Tyler Pinsonneault.
Grandpa Bob to Reilly (Aryanna), Berkley, Drew (Emma), Kyla, and Charlie.
Great-grandpa to Adelyn Mae.
Loving brother to Brenda (Rick) Nissen and Sharon (Mike) Ash.
Missed by his furry friend, Dakota.
Bob will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and Bonnie's extended family.
Bob starting working as a grocery clerk at A&P and finished his career at Food Basics in Chatham. He loved spending time outdoors, fishing and golfing. As well as spending time with his kids and grandkids, pulling pranks on each other.
Bob was always seen as a kind person with a big heart and a great sense of humour.
Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday August 7, 2025 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will take place on Friday at the Funeral Home at 2:00 pm. Cremation to follow.
Donations made in memory of Robert to Crohns and Colitis Canada or to the Canadian Liver Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
