A resident of Chatham, Aubrey Butler passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice on Saturday, August 9, 2025 at the age of 94.
Born in Charlottetown, PEI, Aubrey was the son of the late William and Hilda (née Harris) Butler.
Beloved husband of the late Phyllis Butler (née Lockhart).
Loving father of Cindy Duggal.
Proud grandfather to DeAndre Duggal and Garet Duggal.
Survived by sister Doris Ridley. Predeased by siblings Robert Butler, Isabel Boltic and Eric Butler.
Also missed by nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Aubrey retired from Union Gas after many years of service.
As per Aubrey's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00pm. A Memorial Service will be held at the Funeral Home at 11:00am on Friday, August 15, 2025. Private family interment to be held at Dresden Cemetery.
Donations made in memory of Aubrey to the Pet and Wildlife Rescue or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
