Obituary of Dolly Ware

Ware: Venita "Dolly" Mary (née Heintzman) -

A resident of Chatham, Dolly Ware passed away at Riverview Gardens on August 13, 2025 at the age of 96. 

Born in Kitchener, Dolly was the daughter of the late John and Ida (née Weiler) Heintzman. 

Loving sister to Gordon (Lorna Widmeyer) Heintzman. Predeceased by Richard Heintzman, Verna (Wilbert) Karges, Dorothy (Joe) Calcutta, Gilbert Heintzman, Eleanor Heintzman, Jerome Heintzman, and Ruby (Ivan) Habermehl. 

Dolly will be missed by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and extended family.

Dolly was an avid line and square dancer, teaching it to many groups and her great nieces and nephews. She was very involved in her church and community, always supporting Loads of Love. She was always making everyone laugh and brightening everyone's day. Dolly was always surrounded by her friends and family.

Dolly could be found doing her makeup and hair, and picking out new clothes. She was very proud of how she looked and how it made her feel good about herself. She enjoyed traveling, going on many cruises throughout her life.   

Dolly had a very large sweet tooth, eating dessert first and not feeling guilty about it. 

A Funeral Service will take place at the funeral home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Saturday August 16, 2025 at 11am, with visitation one hour prior. Burial to follow in McVicar Cemetery.
