Moody: Neva EILEEN (née McQuiggan) -

A longtime resident of Blenheim, Eileen Moody died peacefully on Wednesday August 13, 2025 at Riverview Gardens. She was born 92 years ago in Straffordville on March 12, 1933, daughter of the late Milton and Ruby (née Nelles) McQuiggan. 

Eileen is reunited with her beloved husband Gordon Lee Moody (2014).

Loving mother to Catherine (John) Mallory, Linda (late Rick) Johnston, Judy Campbell (Jim Vidler), and Patricia (Dan) Dauphin. 

Proud Grandma of Gary (Amy) Pook, Randy (Julie) Pook, Jason (Jillian) Mallory, Eric (Liana) Mallory, Brandon Campbell (Madison Woznow), Justin (Kathleen) Campbell, and Jordan (Cora) Campbell.

Cherished Great Grandma of Brady, Harrison, Anderson, Rachel, Ryan, Julie-Ann, Jack, Clark and Cole.

Dear sister to Don (Marjorie) McQuiggan, Bob (Joan) McQuiggan and predeceased by siblings Marjorie (Len) Schultz, Francis (Dan) Duck and Frank McQuiggan. 

Eileen is survived by sister-in-law Shirley (née Moody) Franklin and Joan Moody.

She will be deeply missed by many nieces, nephews and her very special friends Peggy McCracken, Yvonne Blair and Ann Gore.

Eileen was born and raised on the family farm near Straffordville. As a young woman she enjoyed working at the Tillsonburg Sweet & Shake Shop until her marriage to Gordon on September 6, 1950. She and Gord lived in Blenheim for 64 years, where they built their home and raised a family. Her faith in the Lord was unwavering. 

The family would like to express their gratitude to Riverview Gardens for the excellent care given to Eileen during her six year stay. Thank you to Dr. Dixon and the staff she loved on 3E, 3W and 6E. 

A private family service will be held in memory of Eileen followed by an interment at Arnold Cemetery.
