Obituary of Wil Chouinard
Chouinard: Wilbrod Emile -
A resident of Blenheim, Wilbrod Chouinard passed away at the Blenheim Community Village on September 8, 2025 at the age of 88.
Born in Cochrane, Ontario, Wilbrod was the son of David and Georgina (née Turcotte) Chouinard.
Beloved husband of 41 years to Eleanor (née Singer).
After retiring from Ontario Hydro in 1990, Wil and Eleanor relocated for their retirement years in Ridgetown.
He had a true knack for finding a great deal-whether it was at the Ridgetown yard sales scattered around town or wheeling and dealing well into the Marketplace era. He loved camping in Cochrane while visiting family in Northern Ontario, always enjoying the simple pleasures of time outdoors. A natural fixer, he was the go-to guy for anything that needed mending-always ready with a tool in hand and a solution in mind.
Cremation has taken place. A private family interment at Greenwood Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Wilbrod to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated by the family.
