Obituary of Terry Neill

Neill: Terence Patrick  -

A resident of Chatham, Terry Neill  passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on Monday, September 15, 2025 at the age of 91. 

Born in Birmingham, England, Terry was the son of the late John and Agnes (née Bussell) Neill. 

He will be reunited with his late wife of 68 years, Gillian Neill (née Woodman).

Loving father to Karen Attridge (Richard) and the late Elizabeth Neill.

Proud grandfather to Robert Neill, Matthew Smith (Kendra), and Megan Pinsonneault (Jacob).

Great-grandfather to Austyn Green (Reegan) and Jude.

Brother of Barbara Southall (Jim), the late John Neill, and the late Kenneth Neill (Valarie).

Survived by sister-in-law Janet and son-in-law Danial.

He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Terry immigrated to Canada with his wife, Gillian, and two daughters, Elizabeth and Karen in 1976. Terry came to work as a tool and die maker and had previously served in the British RAF. Terry attended night school to get his degree and always taught his family how important education was. He loved his craftmanship as a tool and die maker and was a perfectionist in all things mechanical and wood working, often building items for his home and for others throughout his life.

He loved his children and grandchildren. Terry always supported his family through school, hard times and in life. He loved travelling with his wife and family, taking many cruises all around the world.

Family to receive friends at the funeral home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham, on Sunday September 21, 2025 from 11:00 am until the Funeral Service at 1:00 pm. Cremation to follow.

Donations made in memory of Terence to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
