Obituary of Richard Holland
A resident of Chatham, Richard Holland passed away peacefully at the London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Hospital at the age of 80.
Born on December 17, 1944, he was the son of the late Wellington & Irene (nee Sims) Holland. Son-in-law of the late Doris Wass (nee Cook).
Remembered always by his wife of 39 years, Margaret (nee Wass).
Proud father of Shane Holland, Shannon Holland, Brenda Morris (Chris), Kim Roberts (Gary), Michele Stoddart (Jeff) & Kenneth Baylis (Tanya).
Papa of Cedar, Shayne, Aysha, Zeren, Avery, Elijah, Robert, Shawn, Christopher (Taylor), Kaitlyn, Emily (Keith), Matthew, Ashley (Nick), Tanner, Indy (Eli), Caleb (Madison), Ethan (Amber), Madison & Kennedy.
Great-Papa of 10.
Predeceased by siblings, William, Lois, Sylvia, Ellis, Delbert.
Brother-in-law of Barbara Freeman (Charles), Wendy Reynolds (Bryce),
John Wass (Kim) & Jamie Wass (Sandy).
Predeceased by brothers-in-law, Mike Wass, Robert Wass & Jeffrey Wass.
Survived by sisters-in-law, Pat Wass & Yvette Lawrence.
Missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Richard worked as a Millwright and retired with Sass as a Welder after many years. He was a avid Toronto Maple Leafs & Toronto Blue Jays fan. Richard enjoyed watching his kids and grandchildren play sports. He could often be found tinkering around in his garage, well known as "Mr. Fix It". He loved to play bingo, visiting the casino and going on day trips with Margaret. Richard was well known within his community and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to his ICU nurse, Chantelle, of the London Health Sciences Centre - Victoria Campus, Floor B9, Dr. Winquist and his team for their care.
Family to receive friends on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 10:00 am until a Funeral Service at 12:00 pm. Burial to follow in Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
In memory of Richard, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
