Obituary of Janice Elaine Williams
On October 10th, 2025, Janice Elaine Williams passed away after a courageous battle with a chronic illness.
She was the daughter of the late Gerald & Esther (nee Duddy) Cumming.
Remembered always by her husband of 58 years, William (Bill) Williams of Ridgetown.
Janice taught highschool at John McGregor Secondary School & Ridgetown District High School for 33 years. In life, Janice often spent her time making crafts including Christmas decorations for the family and Bill & Janice enjoyed their time traveling around the world.
She leaves behind one son, Gordon Williams and his wife Sherrie, and three granddaughters, Phaedra, Sadie and Darcy who were the light of her life.
She leaves a brother & sister-in-law, Tim & Lynne Williams of Chatham, and step-family of Dianne (the late Doug) Flook, Ken & Barb DeNure, Park & Cheryl Parry and Dave & Inam Parry, all of Chatham. Predeceased by brother-in-law, Pat & Maria Parry.
The family would like to extend their thank you to the kindness of neighbours and friends through the years.
Family to receive friends on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow.
In memory of Janice, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
