Obituary of Marilyn Louise Hitchcock

Hitchcock: Marilyn Louise (née Rumble) -

A resident of Copper Terrace in Chatham and previously of Blenheim, Marilyn Hitchcock passed away with Billie and Valerie by her side, at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham Campus on November 3, 2025 at the age of 90. 

Born in Chatham, Marilyn was the daughter of the late Lorne and Flossie (née Wise) Rumble. 

Beloved wife to the late Paul Hitchcock (1978).

Loving second Mom to Valerie Heathcote and dear friend of Edward Heathcote.

Special Aunt of Billie Wilson (Bob) and Debbie Wardle (the late Bob).

Sister to Wayne Rumble (the late Evelyn), Larry Rumble (Patricia), the late William (Bill) Rumble, the late James Rumble, the late Jack Rumble, the late Doreen Rumble, the late Lorne Rumble, and the late Donnie Rumble.

Missed by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.

Marilyn could be found doing crossword puzzles and playing bingo. She played shuffleboard every Tuesday night at the Chatham Legion. 

Cremation has taken place. A Private burial will be held at a later date.

Donations made in memory of Marilyn to the Canadian Cancer Society or to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.
