A resident of Chatham, Deb Speed  passed away at her home on November 13, 2025 at the age of 65. 

Born in Chatham, Deb was the daughter of Jack (Louise) Labadie and Patricia  (née Moore) Rose.

Beloved wife of 45 years to Terry Letson Speed.

Beloved mother of the late Andrew Billy Letson Speed.  

Sadly missed by her brother Tim Labadie (Tracy) and sister Kelly Bolton (Derek).  Brother-in-law Alan Speed and her dear friend Beth Speed.  Sister-in-law Ann (the late Don) Burleigh, sister-in-law Pat (Dwight) Rabideau, sister-in-law Amy Lupa-Speed.  She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends, especially Pastor Tim Joyce and his wife Ruth Joyce.

Deb's life mission, along with Terry was to spread the Word of God as missionaries through the Youth With A Mission, Turner Valley, Alberta.  They carried the Word of God to Burma and Switzerland. They continued teaching the Word of God as Pastors at Creekside Community Church in Aylmer, ON for 25 years.  After 25 years they settled into the Word of Life Church in Blenheim, ON.

Friends will be received at the funeral home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Monday, November 17, 2025 from 11:00 am until service time at 1:00 pm.  Pastor Tim Joyce officiating.  Interment to follow at Morpeth Cemetery, Morpeth.

Donations made in memory of Debra to the Canadian Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Society of Chatham  would be appreciated by the family.
