Matlock: Maureen (née Perry) -
A resident of Chatham, Maureen Matlock passed away at the Chatham-Kent Hospice with family at her side on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the age of 78.
Born in United Kingdom, Maureen was the daughter of the late Ken and Ruth (née Aspinall) Perry.
Beloved wife of 14 years to Ron Matlock.
Loving mother of Lisa Toop of Pickering, ON, the late Keith Wilson, Steven Gilmour (Rita) of Penticton, BC, Paul Gilmour of Edmonton, AB.
Proud Nana to 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
Maureen will be missed by Ron's five surviving children, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Dear sister to Laurel, Beverley and Robert.
Also missed by friends and extended family.
Maureen was very artistic and loved painting, sketching and acrylics. She had a deep love for animals (especially dogs).
Maureen will be remembered for her gentle spirit and compassionate nature. She had a deep faith in her Lord Jesus Christ, and is with Him now in Heaven.
Family to receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 1:00pm until the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm. Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Maureen to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
