Obituary of Keith Leatherdale
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Keith Leatherdale on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at the age of 86.
He was the son of the late James & Margaret (nee Ransom) Leatherdale.
Forever missed by his wife of 62 beautiful years, Ann Leatherdale (nee McTavish).
Proud father of Bob Leatherdale (Pat), Sandy Bray (Lloyd) & Tom Leatherdale (Kim).
Loving grandpa of Alicia (Chris), Keith (April), Alex, Matthew (Sydney), Nicholas, Grace & Lydia.
Great-grandpa of Harmony, Forster, Scout & Baby Boy Bray.
Brother of Gayle Garrett (the late Mike) and Beth Carnie (Brad).
Predeceased by his siblings, Bill Leatherdale (the late Joan) & Connie Ginn.
Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.
Keith retired as a Journeyman Model Maker with Siemans after 30 years. He enjoyed spending time in his
garden, and working on his 1940 Ford. But his greatest role was being a loving and devoted husband, father,
grandpa and great grandpa. To Keith his family was his pride and joy. His eyes would light up whenever his
grandchildren and great grandchildren were around. He built not just a home, but a lifetime of loving memories
with his family. Keith was a dedicated member of First Presbyterian for over 50 years. His kindness and genuine
nature will be dearly missed by his friends, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family forever.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Dr. Munro and Dr. Sikkema. As well as the staff of the Maples Residence and PSW from Bayshore for their care and compassion.
The family to receive friends on Wednesday, November 19, 2025 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 10:00 am until a Funeral Service at 12:00 pm. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Ridgetown.
In memory of Keith, donations may be made to Parkinson Canada or to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 243 Poppy Fund.
