Schmoldt: Paul Knuth -
A resident of Chatham, Paul passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on November 28, 2025 at the age of 76.
Born in Denmark, Paul was the son of the late Ernst and Ellen (née Andresen) Schmoldt.
Beloved husband of 53 years to Linda (née Steedman).
Loving father to Kristin Schmoldt and Ric Schmoldt (Alicia).
Adored Papa to Jessy (Vil), Brianna (James), Riley, Alex, Connor and Lilly.
Survived by brother Henry (Dorthe) and sister Karen of Denmark.
He will be deeply missed by nephews Henrik and Christian.
Paul was known as the protector and loved his family fiercely. His passion was photography, he was the Chatham-Kent Camera Club President for 4 years running and was a life time member. Paul had a sense of humor that was unmatched. Many would describe him as hardworking, loyal, candid and gregarious.
Paul's wishes were to be cremated.
A Celebration Of Life will be held at the McKinlay Reception Centre 463 St Clair St, Chatham, ON N7L 3K6, from 1:00pm - 3:00pm on December 4, 2025.
In lieu of flowers, donations made in memory of Paul to the Chatham-Kent Community Living or Alzheimer Society Of Chatham-Kent would be appreciated by the family.
