McNeilage: James Arnold -
A resident of Eberts, James Arnold McNeilage passed away at home surrounded by family on December 18, 2025 at the age of 84.
Born in Chatham, Jim was the son of the late Donald and Jean (née Arnold) McNeilage.
Beloved husband of 56 years to Gail (née Johnson).
Loving father to Tara (Ted) Greenway and the late Blair McNeilage. Father-in-law to Serina Mazerolle.
Grandpa to Tré Greenway, Ted Jr. (Natalie) Greenway, and Conner (Katey) Greenway; Brandie McNeilage and Jim McNeilage.
Great-grandpa to Gracie, River, Sophia, Alice, Esme, Elizabeth, and William.
Caring brother to Eileen McNeilage. Predeceased by Vourneen McNeilage.
Brother-in-law to Tom (Rosita) Johnson, Pam (John) Levstick, Deb (Rob) Cann, and the late Carol (Guy) Ellison.
He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and friends.
Jim spent many years farming and volunteering at the fire department, later retiring from truck driving. Jim enjoyed flying his planes, spending time with his family, and was an avid nature lover. Jim will be remembered for his humour and story telling.
Cremation has taken place. A Private family Celebration of Life will be held at his residence.
Donations made in memory of James to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
