Obituary of Bernice Chandler
A resident of Chatham, Bernice Chandler passed on Monday, December 22, 2025 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 96.
She was the daughter of the late Norman & Clair (nee Como) Iles.
Bernice will be reunited with her late husband, Raymond Chandler (2017).
Loving mother to Linda (the late Arley) Haskell, Lou Ann Stirling, Wayne (Helen) Chandler & Brian (Debbie) Chandler.
Grandmother to 15 grandchildren.
Great-grandmother to 18 great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by all of her siblings.
Bernice and Raymond were the proud owners of Chandler's Pet Centre for many years. They enjoyed their time traveling to Florida and fishing together. Bernice was a crafter and a seamstress. She will be remembered as an amazing caregiver of Raymond and will be dearly missed by her family.
Family to receive friends on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 12:00 pm until a Funeral Service at 1:00 pm. Interment in Maple Leaf Cemetery to follow.
Donations in memory of Bernice may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind or Alzheimer's Society of Chatham-Kent.
