Buchanan: June Georgina (née Wilson) -
A resident of Blenheim, ON, June Georgina Buchanan passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 6th, 2026 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance at the age of 91.
Born on June 4th, 1934 in Merlin, ON, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Alma (née Thibeault) Wilson.
June was the beloved wife and best friend of 52 years to the late Edward Buchanan.
She was the devoted and cherished mother of Tom Buchanan (Lisa Vanderheyde) of Chatham, Doug Buchanan of Blenheim and Susan (Dave) Freeman of Tecumseh.
She was a proud grandmother of Brad (Lindy) Buchanan, Erin Mogg (Paul Henry), Marissa (Al) Schepens, Brett (Jacquie) Buchanan, and Ryan (Jennifer) Freeman, and great grandmother to Avia Buchanan, James and Benjamin Mogg, Ainsley and Jordan Schepens, and Max and Myla Buchanan.
She will be fondly remembered by her sister-in-law, Shirley Wilson and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her brother Charles Wilson and sisters Jean (Keith) Poehlman-(Roy) Pelfrey and Joan (Richard) Foster and sister-in-law of George (Donna) Buchanan.
June enjoyed camping, gardening, poetry and drawing; her greatest joy was spending time with her family. June retired from Dover Corporation after many years where she made long lasting friendships.
Cremation has taken place. As per June's wishes, there will be no visitation. A graveside service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
