Obituary of Judith Laura Louise Williams

Judith Laura Louise Williams, born January 30, 1952, in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on March 20, 2026, at the age of 74, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of Alvin Williams for 55 cherished years. Loving and devoted mother of Trevor Williams (Linda), Catherine Ballantyne (Trevor), and Lawrence Williams (Rush).  Proud and devoted Nana to Danielle, Matthew, Mackenzie (Matthew), Madison, Priya, and Michael. Cherished Great-Grandnana to Ezra and Elowyn.

Judith was the dear daughter of the late Douglas and Dallas Penney. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings Lawrence “Larry” Penney and Barbara Penney, and was predeceased by her sisters Linda and Gail.

Judy had a deep love for her family, which was always the center of her world and her greatest joy. She found happiness in life’s simple pleasures - especially tending to her garden, where her cherished cherry tree blossomed beautifully each May. She loved to laugh, listen to music, and dance, and brought warmth and light to everyone who knew her.

Family and friends will be received at the McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair St., Chatham on Saturday, March 28, 2026, for visitation from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., followed by a funeral service from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
