Obituary of Joseph Robertson
JOSEPH “JOE” ALAN ROBERTSON
(January 15, 1963 to April 8, 2026)
Son of the late George D. and Norma L. Robertson. Survived by brother, Dennis, sisters, Norma-Jean, Karen (Richard) and sister-in-law Claire. Pre-deceased by sister-in-law Nancy, brothers Robert and Lee and brother-in-law Wayne. Loving uncle to Kristen (Jeff), Karri (Chris), Kimberly, Christine (Noel), Serena (Matthew), Kathleen (William), Brian (Clodagh) and Liam. Cherished by grand-nieces and nephews as well as friends. Joe was a talented chef, achieving his Red Seal and a varied career in the industry including creating his own gourmet restaurant in Windsor and the Cup of Joe coffeehouse in Chatham-Kent. He was the keeper of the family “secret recipes”, known especially for his chocolate roll cake, strawberry and banana cream tarts. Dennis, Norma-Jean and Karen would especially like to thank nephew, Brian and his wife, Clodagh for the support they provided Joe over the past few difficult health years. The family would also like to express appreciation for the paramedics and nursing staff who assisted with Joe throughout his illnesses and to the staff at the McKinlay Funeral Home. As per Joe's wishes, cremation has taken place with a Private Family Burial at a later date. In memory of Joe, the family welcomes the receipt of “Joe” stories.
