Obituary of T. Keith Browning

It is with great sadness the family of Keith Browning announce his passing on Monday, May 18, 2026 surrounded by his loving family at the age of 85.

He was the son of the late William Thornton & Muriel (nee Connor) Browning.

Forever remembered by his wife of 45 beautiful years, Barbara (nee Lutz).

Loving father of Tom Parkyn (Lou Ann), Lisa Won (William), Robyn Arruda (Joe), & Kim Fisher (Kevin).

Proud Papa of Tiffany (Nate), Camie (Mike), Danielle, Tyler, Chantal, Erica, Cori, & Cali.

Great-Papa of Willem, Jasper & Kade.

Brother of Brenda Gilkes (Robert), & Karen Byers.

Missed by many nieces, nephews & extended family.

Keith retired as a dedicated Salesman for over 30 years with Kent Refrigeration and Essex Appliances. Beyond work, he could often be found landscaping and doing yardwork around the home, reading, doing crosswords and exploring the fairways at different golf courses around Chatham. Above all, his family was his pride and joy. He enjoyed seeing his grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow, celebrating their every accomplishment. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him

The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of the Chatham-Kent Hospice for their caring and compassion during Keith's time with them.

As per Keith's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Keith's Life will be held on Saturday, June 20th, 2026 at McKinlay Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery at 1:30 pm.

In memory of Keith, donations to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or Chatham-Kent Animal Rescue would be appreciated by the family.
