Caryn: Linda Francis (née Crow) -
A resident of Chatham, Linda Caryn passed away peacefully with family at her side at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on May 23, 2026 at the age of 83.
Born in Chatham, Linda was the daughter of the late Malcolm and Alice (née Burton) Crow.
Survived by Romain, the father of her children.
Loving mother to Scott Caryn, Michele Schenk (Pete) and Gary Caryn (Carole).
Grandmother to Hailey, Megan, Katelin, Brooke, Noah, Jenessa.
Predeceased by siblings Garnet, Hazel, June, Kenneth, Ruth, Robert, William, Shirley, Edward, Patricia, Donna and Kay (Ginger).
She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
The family would like to thank the ICU and Palliative care staff at the Chatham-Kent Hospital for their care and compassion.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 from 6:00 - 8:00pm. A private family burial will take place at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
Donations made in memory of Linda to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
