Obituary of Reina Feyen

Feyen: Reina (née Mast) -

The Lord, in His perfect wisdom and timing, called home His child, Reina Feyen, on Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the age of 100.

Reina was born on May 20, 1926, in Smilde, Drenthe, The Netherlands. By God’s faithful care, she was granted a long life, richly blessed with family and the steadfast mercies of the Lord through every season.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Cornelis Feyen, in 2013. Together, they shared many years of marriage and family life under God’s providential care.

Reina is lovingly remembered by her six children, Jake and Lynnda Feyen, Fred and Margaret Feyen, Wilma and Will Rypstra, Jeannie Feyen, Hetty and Todd Hunter and Irene Stewart. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, Kenn and Wilma Feyen, Betty and Pete Hamstra, Mike and Tammy Feyen, Brad and Jackie Feyen; Jesse and Devon Feyen, Tara and Eric Vyn; Kevin and Melissa Rypstra, Shannon and Jeff Vandermeer, Shaylyn Demidow; Renee and Jason Mossman, Dennis and Kalissa Hunter, Jason Hunter, Kjell and Amanda Hunter, Nastassja Hunter; Lise and Ryan Mast, Mitchell and Ellie Ouellette.

She is also dearly remembered by 32 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. Reina is survived by her sisters, brother and sisters-in-law, Coby Pook, Suze Mast, Jaap and Sanneke Mast, Geesje Middlebos, and Sara Mast; and predeceased by six brothers and sisters. Also survived by Albert and Grace Mast.

Reina’s life was marked by quiet and enduring faith, she found strength and comfort in the promises of God and trusted her faithful Saviour through the joys and trials of her life. Her family is thankful for the Christian example she leaves behind.

A Private family burial and service will be held next week.
