Obituary of Robin Christine Rose
Rose: Robin Christine (née Husiman) -
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robin Christine Rose (née Huisman). She passed peacefully on July 15th, 2026 at the age of 60.
Wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, Robin will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and warmth. Beloved wife and best friend of Neil Rose for 35 wonderful years. Proud mother of Riley and Owen Rose, to whom she served as friend, confidant, and expert advisor.
Cherished daughter of Chris and Sharon Huisman, and sister to Bill (Emily) and Barb. Daughter-in-law to Barbara (and the late Don) Rose. Sister-in-law to Kathy (Alan) and Karen (Chuck). She will also be remembered and missed by her nieces, nephews, and 2 great-nieces.
After attending the University of Guelph and meeting her future husband, Robin married Neil and came to Rondeau, where they built a life filled with love on the Rose family farm. For 30 years, she devoted herself to a career in social work, most of that time with Chatham Kent Children’s Services. Her work reflected her compassion and belief in helping others, as well as her love for children. She was patient, kind, and understanding; qualities that helped her thrive in this role.
Robin was so content with life. She found happiness in simple and beautiful moments. She loved being in the sunshine, boating on the lake, reading a good book (often cover to cover in one day), tending to her gardens and plants, and savouring quiet mornings outside with her coffee.
We will miss her easy smile, funny sayings, and voice of reason. May her life be a reminder to be more patient and kind, and to find the joy in every day.
A Private Family Service will be held at her home Gardens. A Celebration of Robin's Life, enjoying food, drinks, live music, and dancing, will be held at the family farm, 11977 Rose Beach Line, Morpeth on September 19th, 2026 from 5:00 pm - 12:00 am.
Donations made in memory of Robin to New Scotland-Ridge United Church and the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
