Obituary of Janet Ruth Campbell

Campbell, Janet Ruth - A resident of Botany, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday October 23, 2016 in her 72nd year. Janet was the daughter of the late Walter and Ruth (Keech) Galbraith. Beloved wife of Donald Campbell for 49 years. Cherished mother of Michael and Deanna (Zehr) Campbell of Botany, Lisa (Campbell) and Stephen Dunstall of Ancaster, and Colin and Jennifer (Faas) Campbell of Botany. Adored Grandmother of Malcolm, Ian and Owen Campbell; Campbell, Zachary and Abigail Dunstall; and Aiden and Bennett Campbell. Loving sister of Larry and Val Pettipiece, Keith and Deb Galbraith, Fred and Cheryl Galbraith, Pauline and Phil West, and Mark and Debbie Galbraith. Dear sister-in-law of the late Doris and the late Fred Anderson, the late Lloyd and the late Gladys Campbell, Joan and the late Gordon Anderson, Mary and the late Gerald Moffat, and Kathryn Campbell. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Janet was a graduate of Western University who was happy to step back from her teaching profession to be at home and help raise her three children who benefited greatly from her passion to educate and her guidance along each of their life paths. Janet’s eight grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved attending their hockey, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, gymnastics, school activities and birthday parties. She was their number one fan! Her strength and devotion to her family, friends, and community will be profoundly missed. Visitation will be held at the McKinlay Funeral Home, Ridgetown on Thursday October 27, 2016, from 2-4pm and 6-9pm. The Funeral Service for Janet will be held on Friday October 28, at 11am at the Funeral Home. Burial to follow at the Botany Cemetery.
