Obituary of Alfred William 'Alfie' Gore

GORE: Alfred William “Alfie”– A resident of Cedar Springs, Alfred Gore passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham Campus on Monday, May 26, 2014 at the age of 81. Born in Chatham, Alfred was the son of the late Bertha (Les) Gore Pettipiece (nee Bray) and Edgar Gore. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Koroll). Survived by and deeply missed by his four children, Brenda Ferris (Paul) of Chatham, Lonnie Gore (Ann) of Blenheim, Cheryl Meyerink (Dennis) of Blenheim and Shawn Gore (Carrie) of London. Dear stepfather to Dannielle Beharrell and Westley Beharrell, both of London. Grandfather to Sarah Sousa (Dan) of California, Kimberly Barlow (Nick) of Chatham, Zachary Gore (Heather) of Blenheim, Carelyn Gore (Andrew) of England, Tyler Gore of London, Maggie Gore (Mike) of Blenheim, Melanie Gore and Cason Beharrell. Great-grandfather to Ryan Sousa of California, Natalie Sousa of California and Olivia Gore of Blenheim. Further survived by his brother Leroy Gore (Evelyn) of Prairie Siding, his sister Joyce Bowls (Reg) of Northwood and his sister-in-law Sandy Gore. He will be missed by his loyal feline companion, Quarterback, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his baby daughter Kim and his siblings Edgar Gore, Fran Gore and Louise Whittington. As per Alfie’s wishes, cremation has taken place with a private wake to be held at a later date.
