Obituary of Irene Brisley

Brisley: Marion Irene (née Gammage) -

A life long resident of Harwich Township, Irene Brisley passed away at the Copper Terrace Nursing Home on December 20, 2024 at the age of 101.

Born in Middleville, Michigan Irene was the daughter of the late William and Mary (née Want) Gammage.

Beloved wife of the late Harvey Brisley (1998).

Loving mother of Norma Ryan (late William) & William Brisley (Joan). Proud grandmother to David, Lisa, Crystal, Cindy, Amie, Paul and Sorin; proud and loving great and great-great grandmother to many.

Predeceased by her sister Edith Gillier and brothers Tom, Clarence, Earl and Roy as well as many in the Will's family, her extended step family.

Irene enjoyed making quilts and growing flowers. She will be forever remembered by her family for her love of playing games of all types.

She enjoyed playing card games, especially euchre. She also enjoyed playing Bingo.

Special thanks is extended to Dr. Prins, Dr. Tomen and the staff at Copper Terrace for the special care given to Irene.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 10 a.m until the Funeral Service to celebrate Irene's life at 11:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Bethel Cemetery, Chatham.

Donations made in memory of Marion to the Gathering Place Community Church, Ridgetown would be appreciated by the family.
