Ducharme: Irvin Louis -
A resident of Chatham-Kent, Irvin Ducharme passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance - Chatham on April 19, 2022 at the age of 86.
Born in Huron County, Irvin was the son of the late Dennis and Theresa (nee Meidinger) Ducharme.
Beloved husband of 61 years to Juliette (nee Mailloux).
Dear father to Tom Ducharme (Sharon), Yvonne Alexander (Jim), Sonya Young (Al), Monica Ducharme (1965), Charlene Drochner (2012) (Dan).
Proud Grandpa to Chris, Eric, Zachary, Danielle, Erin, Riley, Mackenzie, Cassidy, Angela and Michelle; Great-Grandpa to Ava Charlene.
Brother to Shirley Gurzo, Agnes Lavin (Gerry) and David Ducharme (Lynda) and by his sister-in-law, Marge Ducharme.
Predeceased by his sister Bernie Goodman and brothers Dennis, Donald and Leo Ducharme.
A special thank-you is extended by the family to the caring staff on the 4th Floor of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance-Chatham Campus for their tremendous care and support shown to Irvin and the entire family.
In addition to Irv's love for his family and friends, he was a firm believer in health and well being. He loved playing tennis, golf and cycling which he continued well into his eighties. He was a huge fan of the Leafs, Jays and Detroit Lions.
Irv lived his life to the fullest and had a positive impact on everyone he met. He will be dearly missed by many!
In keeping with Irvin's wishes, cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street Chatham on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at St. Ursula's Church, 205 Tweedsmuir Ave. W., Chatham on Monday, April 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment at Maple Leaf Cemetery to follow. At the request of the family all attendees must wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to honour Irvin's life can be made to the charity of your choice and would be appreciated.
