Dear Sharon, Christine, Bill, Matt & families
We are so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing.
Watching the video he was always smiling. I remember spending time with them as our Evan played hockey with Braeden and Christine was a DMHA hockey Mom on the board with me for many years. He definitely enjoyed watching all his grandchildren participate in any sport.
You all have so many wonderful memories to hold on to during this difficult time.
I’m so sorry that I cannot make it to visitation with Dave. Our good friend Gary Carroll has been nominated for a Legacy award through the Wallaceburg Chamber of Commerce and I have planned to go since his nomination.
Sending love and hugs to all.

I am Uncle Bob's niece, Vanessa, through his mom.
I, since I was a very little kid, didn't really get to see him but 2 or 3 times (maybe 2 or 3 more times??).
My first memory was during the summer; A bunch of us drove out to Uncle Bob and Aunt Sharon's nice country house, and I even remember the crop that was growing behind his house that year -- wheat. I was so fascinated even at a young age by farms, especially non-citrus or non-livestock farms. I remember clipping some of the wheat to bring back home to Florida.
And then, I have very fond memories from 2015 surrounding the luncheon at his country club for the rest of his siblings. It was just my Grandma's six kids, Grandma was there too, plus me/my mom/my then-husband/and the two kids I had at the time.
Even though I only saw my Uncle Bob and Aunt Sharon (and their kids) a few times that I can remember offhand... there was at least 3 times total that I saw him, maybe a few more times. And every single time that I did get the opportunity to see him, I've only ever had happy memories for him and his own family.
I really wanted to see Bob and Sharon while I was shuffling around between Sarnia and Chatham (in the previous 3 weeks). But I never got the chance.
To Sharon, and Christine/Matthew/and William:
I, of all people... am crying. Mom tends to keep her emotions inside, whereas my face (almost always) gives me away. I am incredibly upset for his passing away, and I didn't get that last chance to see him.
Uncle Bob, I don't believe in heaven. But... for your sake, I hope that there is a heaven for YOU, and that you finally get to see my Grandma and Grandpa again, as well as seeing your biological dad.
To all of you, I extend genuine consolations and condolences.
I miss him, but I have always wanted to get closer to the Nicholson family.
Sorry for the longwindedness.

Sharon and all of Bob's family, children, grandchildren, brother's and sisters. I will always cherish the memories I have of Bob's daily visits to see his mother Mary. Bob had a witty sense of humor and a
keen sense of dedication to his mother and all of his family. He always treated all staff at Copper Terrace with dignity and respect. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.
