BOND: Nicholas John (né Burns) -

A resident of Chatham, Nick Bond passed away at the age of 37.

Born in Brampton, Nick was the loving son of Janice and Tom Burns.

Beloved husband of 7 years to Trish Bond.

Cherished brother of Greg Chandler Burns (Eliot) and brother-in-law to Susan Bond.

Dedicated pet parent to Tess, Ada and Mazi.

Also missed by many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends and other family who will remember him fondly.

Nick graduated from Ursuline College Chatham in 2006 and from the University of Waterloo in 2011.

Nick started his military training as a Private in July of 2013, and completed his contract as a Corporal Signals Operator at CFB Shilo, Manitoba in July 2017. He started working for Canada Revenue Agency in 2018. He enjoyed solving problems, which gave meaning to his work. Nick was proud to be part of the public service in various ways throughout his life.

Nick enjoyed a good board game and set up a monthly board game group with friends. He enjoyed getting involved in local politics and always had an interesting political opinion. He had a special passion for biking infrastructure and was often seen riding his bike around town.

Nick will be remembered as a kind, intelligent and capable young man whose presence left a lasting impression.

Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham on Friday, May 16, 2025 from 6:00 - 8:00pm. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Andrew's United Church, 85 William Street South, Chatham on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 2:00pm with visitation an hour prior. Private interment to be held at a later date.

Donations made in memory of Nick to the Pet and Wildlife Rescue or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
