Obituary of Rita Vandecaveye (Faubert)
It is with great sadness the family of Rita Vandecaveye announce her passing on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Chatham-Kent Hospice at the age of 96.
Born in Tilbury East Township, she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Rosalind (nee Boudreau) Morrison.
Beloved wife of the late Kenneth Faubert (1976) and the late Rene Vandecaveye (2001).
Loving mother of Wayne Faubert (Brenda), Carolyn Larsh (Daniel), Kathy Worobetz (John), Glenn Faubert (Dodie Neaves), Nancy Grimoldby (Bob) and step-mother to Brenda Douglas (Ray), and Robert Vandecaveye (Doris).
Grandmother of 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several nieces & nephews.
Survived by brothers Archie (Elsie) and Doug (Rose Mae).
Predeceased by her siblings, Rosaire, Madeleine Faubert, Edgar, Raymond, Wilfred, Harvey, Joanne Minshull, Diane Wilson, and Jerry.
Family to receive friends on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at the Funeral Home, 459 St. Clair Street, Chatham from 11:00 am until a Funeral Liturgy at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Tilbury.
In memory of Rita, donations may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation.
