A resident of Chatham, MacDonald Lewis passed away at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on February 6, 2026 at the age of 81.
Born in Chatham, MacDonald was the son of Leslie and Georgina (née Hodgson) Lewis.
Beloved husband of Joyce (née Tasker) Lewis.
Loving father of Steven, Michael and Kimmy. Proud grandfather of Samantha, Abigail, Anna and William.
Great-grandfather of Zaiden.
He will be sadly missed by his siblings Stewart (Simone) Lewis, Cyndi (Ken) LeFaive and Janet (Mike) Pilon.
Predeceased by his parents, Leslie and Georgina Lewis, and sibling Susan Fritz.
Mac was a proud worker for Navistar for 37 years.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, 459 St. Clair St, Chatham on Monday, February 9, 2026 from 3:00 - 6:00 pm. Cremation to follow.
A reception will follow the visitation at the McKinlay Reception Centre.
Donations made in memory of Mac to the Ronald McDonald House would be appreciated by the family
