Thorpe: David James -
A resident of Chatham, David Thorpe passed away peacefully at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance on February 8, 2026 at the age of 72.
Born in South Hampton, David was the son of the late Lorne and Mary (née Stewart) Thorpe.
Beloved husband and best friend of 31 years to Noreen (née Selby).
Loving father to Jamie (Holly) Thorpe, Teri-Lynn Thorpe, Julie Ann (Ian) Daupin.
Caring step- father to Janey Selby and Keshia Bechard.
Adored grandpa and great grandpa to many.
Will be deeply missed by siblings, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Donations made in memory of David to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
