It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Frank vandenBoorn, 61, who passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, February 12, 2026, surrounded by the family he loved so deeply.
Frank leaves behind his devoted wife, Francie, and his children, Nolan, Geoffry, and Corinna, who were his greatest pride and the lucky recipients of his constant guidance, protection, and occasional unsolicited life lessons. He is also survived by his parents, Frank and Edy vandenBoorn, and his siblings, Lynn Langstaff (George), Richard vandenBoorn (Nancy), and Daniel vandenBoorn (Nicole), who knew him first and knew him best. Beloved brother in-law to many, and cherished uncle to more, Frank will be missed by all.
Frank was a dedicated millwright, starting his career at RJ Simpsons, advancing his trade at Metaldyne, and ultimately finishing as a factory line man at GM CAMI in Ingersoll, Ontario, where he spent many years demonstrating the true meaning of hard work. He had a personality that filled every room and believed work should be done right, but never without humor - The proof is in his personnel file.
Frank will be remembered as a provider, a protector, a respected coach, and a man of immense strength and unwavering dedication. He showed his love through his actions, his presence, and his lifelong commitment to his family. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
Frank was profoundly grateful for the love and support he received throughout his cancer journey, especially from his sisters-in-law, MaryAnne Vincent and Helen Andonian, whose strength, compassion, and unwavering presence lifted not only Frank, but his entire family.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Monday, February 16, 2026 from 2:00 - 4:00pm and 6:00 - 9:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Michael's Parish, 26 George Street, Ridgetown at 11:00am on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Cremation to follow. A Live-stream of the Mass will be available on the Funeral Home website.
