Obituary of Kathryn Elizabeth Colebrook
Kathryn Elizabeth (Liz) (Byrum) Colebrook
January 4, 1932 – May 24, 2026
Kathryn Elizabeth Colebrook of Blenheim, Ontario passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on Sunday, May 24, 2026 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.
Born in Detroit, Kathryn was the daughter of the late Arthur and Frances Byrum of Merlin. Kathryn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Blake (2004), and her sons David Carter (2021) and Dana Carter (2020). She will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughter Ann Clark and her husband Ivan. Kathryn is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Kathryn worked at Southwestern Regional Centre for many years. She had a love for music and was a longtime member of the Leamington Choral Society. She also found great joy tending to her flower gardens.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 29 at McKinlay Funeral Home, 141 Park Street, Blenheim, ON. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 p.m with Pastor Bill Terris as officiant. Interment will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, following the funeral service.
