Valentine's Day
Valentine’s Day is a special day where we get to openly celebrate our life partners. There are many who celebrate this day with energy, while many others may sooner have a quiet dinner at home. For many, this day can be stressful and cause undue pressure and strain, and many may be separated for the day due to work and circumstance. It is a day of celebrations and sometimes unrealistic expectations.
But what happens when we lose our life partner of so many years? This Valentine’s Day I would like to acknowledge all of those couples who have lost their other half. It is an emotionally charged day to begin with and can be especially hard when everyone else is celebrating their firsts, or their manys, while they are left reminiscing on their lasts.
Let’s be kind this Valentine’s Day – to our family, friends, colleagues and community. Here is hoping you all find a way to celebrate their memory in your heart.
